Sexualizing Children Month
Below is an email from US Parents Involved in Education, USPIE, discussion "pride month" in the public schools and its harms.
I plan to write my own post on this topic, but it is timely to bring this subject to my readers’ attention if you have children or grandchildren in public schools. Also, beware of various businesses promoting “pride.” Target is pulling back from public outcry.
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
It’s that time of year again when everywhere you look you see a rainbow. Today is the first day of “pride month,” and while a vast majority of American students are failing in Reading and Math, many states have established a K-12 Health curriculum promoting LGBTQ+ doctrines and recommend a K-3 book titled Who Are You?, which introduces children to an array of genders, not just two. According to the book’s lesson plan, students work through the three layers of “The Gender Wheel” learning that “grown-ups look at a baby’s body when they are born and make a guess: boy or girl.”
The LGBTQ+ agenda is a political movement foisted upon schools under the guise of diversity and civil rights. USPIE has been fighting against the sexualization of children for years. We understand that schools are ground zero in the current culture war on sex education. We encourage parents to become informed and do what must be done to protect their children. Taxpayers and community members should support parents and demand public institutions exercise prudent judgment to ensure appropriate protection of the innocence and safety of children.
Just 6 months ago the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spent $85 million on a grant program requiring public schools to start Gay-Straight Alliances. This Tennessee Conservative article states “For schools to be eligible for the grant, they must fulfill all of the required activities listed in the program guidance document and cannot opt-out of those requirements. According to the document, one of the required activities that schools cannot opt out of requires the implementation of student-led clubs supporting LGBT youth, usually known as Gay-Straight Alliances. A second activity required of schools is that schools educate all their staff on how to support LGBT students.”
It is the position of USPIE that sexualizing and confusing children about their gender in government schools is child abuse and must be stopped immediately.
On the first day of “pride month” USPIE would like to remind you of the true meaning of the rainbow:
